Senior Adviser @ UN Foundation
Susan Myers is a Senior Adviser to the UN Foundation, supporting strategy development for several priority efforts including the UN Solutions Summit and Global Goals Week.
Previously, Susan was one of the longest serving members of the UN Foundation staff, most recently as Senior Vice President and Head of the New York Office. In that role Susan managed the Foundation’s relationship with the UN and oversaw the Business Council for the UN, in addition to a number of special initiatives on the Sustainable Development Goals. She served on the Foundation’s leadership team and contributed to overall long-term strategy development and representation for the organization.
In her early years at the Foundation, Susan served as Legislative Coordinator then Director of the Better World Campaign, a bi-partisan effort that fosters a strong partnership between the United States and the United Nations, and led successful campaigns contributing to payment of $1 billion in U.S. arrears to the UN and the U.S. rejoining the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after an 18-year absence from the organization.
Susan holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.A. from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. Previous experience includes working in the Governmental Relations and Public Affairs Office of the Legal Services Corporation and Governmental Affairs Office of the American Bar Association. She has served on the boards of the Ban Ki-Moon Center for Global Citizenship, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, and Citizens for Global Solutions.
