Public diplomacy and human rights @ YMCA Philippines
Karren is a graduate of Foreign Service major in Diplomacy from Lyceum of the Philippines University. She is currently taking her post-graduate degree in Development Policy at De La Salle University in Manila while working at the Office of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Manila, responsible for public diplomacy and human rights.
She has been involved in the YMCA movement for nine years and currently serves as a member of the board and a Chair of the Youth Committee in YMCA of Makati. Concurrent to her election as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Alliance of YMCAs for 2019-2022, she serves as an ex-officio member of the national board of the YMCA of the Philippines. She engaged at the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs as a Youth Intern in 2017 for the Global Alternative Tourism Network (GATN) Program where she coordinates and mentored youth for the E-learning course on Climate Change and helped in organising the Regional Conference on Climate Change.
Born in Makati City, Philippines and is the second of the four children of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), she aspires to be a Philippine diplomat to tell the stories of the Philippines and the Filipino people.
