Jessika founded “OurChanceToDance” to use dance for social good. She taught dance to students at the California School for the Blind, orphans, senior citizens, and the general public for free. After coming to college in Saint Louis, she discovered that there were no organizations that used dance to heal and empower. Thus, she started teaching dance workshops there.
Currently, OurChanceToDance teaches dance at the Central Institute for the Deaf and the Siteman Cancer Center in Saint Louis. Using dance, they connect different communities and encourage healthy lifestyles. OurChanceToDance has made Jessika grow as a dancer, teacher, and civic agent.
