Jessica Rojas

Director - YMCA of Greater Seattle @ YMCA of USA

Jessica joined the Y Movement in 2009 at the YMCA of Greater Seattle as an AmeriCorps Martin Luther King Jr. VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America). In this role, she worked to integrate racial and social equity principles into her work with young people. Since then, Jessica has been a key leader in supporting integration and implementation of global excellence, diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts across the Seattle Association – including serving as a YMCA Change Agent, and co-founding and supporting local ERG chapters. At the national level, Jessica has been active in various Multicultural Leadership Development (MLD) programs and served on the 2014 Emerging Multicultural Leadership Experience (EMLE) planning committee. Through these roles, she has become a trusted advisor and coach to many Y staff across the nation.

Over the past seven years, Jessica’s work as a Director with the Y has included focus in youth development, membership, operations, and educational equity initiatives. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and Child Development. Having spent half of 2016 months traveling in Latin America, reconnecting with her Mexican roots and volunteering with the Ys in Nicaragua and Peru, Jessica comes to Y-USA with a passion for advancing access, inclusion and engagement for all.
