Betsabé is a young Christian volunteer passionate about justice, human development and agency. With studies of law and philosophy, focused on the defense of human rights and public policies, and also with studies of strategic planning and project management that encourage social entrepreneurship and capabilities building.
She is a researcher at the Center for Philosophy and Constitutional Theory Studies of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She has won the PUCP Fund for the best initiative to develop a legal research project with a social responsibility approach working with vulnerable populations in prisons, addressing the issue of resocialisation, which has been presented to the Peruvian Congress for a bill.
Betsabé had the opportunity to compete in the IV National Contest of Fundamental Rights of Peru obtaining the first place. In her country, she is co-founder of The Peruvian Social Incubator (TPSI 2018), a social enterprise that stimulates social entrepreneurship aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) thanks to foreign cooperation and she serves as a strategy coach, joining forces with 3 Belgian partners, executing four support projects. Since she was eight years old, she has belonged to YMCA Peru and graduated as a leader from the YMCA School of Leadership. She had an exchange experience for one year at YMCA Berlin, and thanks to that she obtained a scholarship for further study in Germany. Betsabé is currently a leading member of YMCA Peru and a spiritual mentor in her church.
