Ben Blackman

Youth worker @ YMCA England & Wales

Ben manages the CYP Haven in Epsom, for Surrey County Council and the NHS. This is a dedicated drop in service that provides youth provision for young people ages 10-18, who can talk about worries and mental health, in a warm and friendly environment.

A dedicated and passionate Youth Worker with over 12 years’ experience working alongside the most vulnerable young people in the UK, Ben has worked within youth justice, social services, homelessness and mental health services.

An alumni of the YMCA George Williams College, with a degree in Youth and Community Work. Ben blends his post graduate study of psychotherapy at the NHS Tavistock with youth work. This has enabled a unique style of youth work that is supporting the growing concerns around young people’s mental health.

Ben has been a guest speaker for the YMCA George Williams College in Germany, Malta and Slovakia, as well as working for UNICEF in Belarus”
