Associate Director of TED-Ed Content, Curation & Coaching @ TED-Ed
Ashley is Associate Director for TED-Ed. Under her leadership, TED-Ed Student Talks grew from a pilot program with a few hundred students to a global initiative with more than 12,500 participating student groups in over 140 countries, all developing and sharing their ideas with the world.
Ashley began her career advocating for youth voices as a Director with the YMCA’s national civic engagement program, Youth in Government. She founded Anchored., a movement to create more authentic dialogue around youth mental health, and she co-founded HumanMomentum, a consulting company focusing on leadership and team development.
Ashley received a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Organizational Leadership at New York University and has at various times also been: a political strategist for a failing US Senate campaign, a commercial salmon fisher in Alaska, and a farmer in Costa Rica. Ashley and her dog, Nashville the Dog, have lived in New Jersey, South Carolina, Kentucky, NYC and now happily call San Francisco home-for-real.
