In YMCA’s landmark anniversary year, YMCA175 will harness the energy, creative vision and solution-focused approach of thousands of young leaders drawn from more than 100 countries representing six continents of the world.
Gathered together in the city where YMCA began, at ExCeL London for four dynamic days from 4 to 8 August 2019, young leaders from around the world will share their vision and personal experiences of social transformation to shape a positive and sustainable future.
Who is YMCA175 for?
Aimed at 16 to 35 year old young leaders from around the world, the programme will provide opportunities for all delegates to engage, with the event open to all young people, young at heart, and adults at every level of YMCA, including staff and volunteers past and present.
A childcare programme will also be offered for all children attending with adults for the duration of the event to enable families to fully participate in the event.
YMCA175 will connect young people to collectively take action; celebrate 175 years of young people and YMCA transforming communities and since 22 year old George Williams founded YMCA; and to create positive change to shape the future as global leaders.
YMCA175 will be a living embodiment of everything YMCA, inclusive, open-minded and fully participatory.
Expect thought-provoking lectures and interactive workshops, celebrations, innovative collaborative sessions, competitions, sports, physical activity, exhibitions, theatre, music, open seminars, concerts, keynote speakers, worship, prayer, YMCA’s history on display, art, dance, space for reflection, relaxation, comedy and so much more.
