In YMCA’s landmark anniversary year, YMCA 175 will harness the energy, creative vision and solution-focused approach of thousands of young leaders drawn from more than 100 countries representing six continents of the world in the city where YMCA was founded.
Learn and share about health and wellbeing, information on the history of classic sports invented by YMCA including Basketball, Volleyball and Indoor Soccer, discover innovative youth programs around the world that address critical health issues and experience interactive YMCA sports activities.
Be part of thought-provoking lectures and interactive workshops, innovative collaborative sessions and open seminars, broaden your thinking listening to keynote speakers and a broad choice of training and education. Further your development as a young leader with a wide range of youth leadership training streams delivered by international YMCA Colleges and other organisations.
Reflect, practice meditation, and celebrate the past and deepen your understanding of YMCA and youth empowerment in 2019 and beyond. In the main event auditorium there will be a program of concerts, performances, worship, prayer space and presentations representative of different faiths and dimensions of spirituality.
At the heart of the event is YMCA Village incorporating information points and stands for participants to learn from YMCA’s and youth organisations from around the world. The Village is a space to pause and reflect, come together with friends, and discover everything YMCA 175 has to offer. In this space, YMCA’s history will be on display through interactive exhibitions, theatre, music and art.
ExCeL London, the home of world leading events is located in the heart of the city, just 45 minutes by rail from Heathrow airport and 10 minutes from London City airport. The venue is fully accessible and has two on-site DLR stations, with parking for 3,070 vehicles. YMCA 175 will take place in the ICC part of the venue, which includes a fully flexible auditorium, hall spaces, exhibition space and a multitude of smaller training and meeting rooms. There is also outside space and access to the Thames waterfront for watersport activities. ExCeL London has a strong commitment to sustainability, partnering with the YMCA to ensure that YMCA 175 is a socially and environmentally responsible event.
There will be a range of accommodation options available for participants. This will include camping with self-catered breakfast, two tiers of hostels pricing around central London, and a selection of hotel options, too.

Hostels are across central London in diverse locations, with a maximum of one-hour travel time to ExCeL London.
Limited camping options will be available, around 90-minutes from the venue and will be booked directly by group leaders.
